Gandhi Tribute in Amsterdam Brings Peace Advocates Together

Representatives of civil society, human rights groups and faith communities met in Amsterdam for a floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, bringing together the Gandhi Global Family and the Church of Scientology Netherlands around human rights, peaceful cooperation and non-violence.
The gathering, held at Amsterdam’s Gandhi statue, the event included Ram Mohan Rai, General Secretary news european elections of Gandhi Global Family, Scientology representatives and human rights advocates. The meeting opened conversations about future cooperation in educating young people about fundamental human rights.
The Church of Scientology’s support for human rights education is inspired by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, who encouraged Scientologists to support initiatives advancing fundamental human rights.
Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, highlighted the importance of cooperation across different beliefs and backgrounds, stressing that knowledge of human rights can strengthen peaceful and democratic societies.
